Course: Display Screen Equipment Awareness

In the modern workplace, frequent daily use of display screen equipment (laptops, desktop computers, smartphones, tablets, etc.) is unavoidable. Prolonged and incorrect use of DSE can cause harm such as back or neck pain or eye problems.

Employers are obligated to reduce these risks and ensure that employees are aware of best practices for DSE use.

The Display Screen Equipment Awareness ecourse teaches employees how to set up a safe and comfortable display screen and workspace. 

The course will cover the following topics:

• How to set up workstations and use display screen equipment properly
• How to work comfortably with good posture
• Common issues related to Display Screen Equipment use
• How to avoid injury while working with Display Screen Equipment
• The legislation that covers the use of DSE: The Display Screen Equipment Regulations (1992)
• The health and safety implications of incorrectly set-up display screen equipment

• Employers of DSE users will be compliant with be compliant with the DSE Regulations.
• All DSE users in your workplace will understand the risks associated with working at their workstation and have the tools to ensure they can do so safely and comfortably.
