What are Fire Safety Signs and Symbols?

Safety signs and symbols are easily recognisable graphic labels that represent the general protocol and safety instructions in workplaces, establishments, or public spaces.

The appearance of safety signs and symbols can sometimes vary depending on the country or region, but their general goal is to communicate safety information which transcends language barriers and can be interpreted globally.

Fire Safety Equipment

Fire extinguishers play an important part in your fire safety plans. They can be effective when dealing with small fires or as a way to suppress a fire, allowing for the safe evacuation of an area.

Fire extinguishers are generally only effective on fires no more than twice the size of the extinguisher itself.

There are 5 main types of extinguishers which are each used for different categories of fires.

Every fire can be categorised into different Classes. The Classes are determined by the type of fuel or ignition source which caused the fire.

The categories are Class A, Class B, Class C, Class D, Electrical and Class F.
