NOISE AWARENESS eLEARNING

This course is for you if you work with loud equipment or on site where loud equipment is used.

Exposure to noise in the workplace can be detrimental to the health and safety of employees. Specifically, dangerous noise levels can, and often do, cause debilitating ear conditions, which can lead to permanent hearing loss. The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 requires employers to protect workers from the harmful effects of excessive noise at work.

This Noise Awareness course will provide workers with an understanding of the risks posed by noise in their workplace and how they can implement measures to control them. This course is approved by the world’s largest health and safety organisation, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

On completion of this course, learners will understand:

  • The specific risks employees face when exposed to high noise levels.
  • Noise protection measures that will help workers minimise noise exposure.
  • Responsibilities of employer and employees under the relevant legislation.
  • How to keep noise levels at an appropriate minimum.
  • How to work productively and comfortably.
  • How to utilise the proper noise protection measures to safeguard their hearing from harmful noise exposure.
  • Anyone who is exposed to noise in the workplace.
  • 20-30 minutes to complete, with multiple-choice questions.
  • On successful completion of this course, learners will gain a IOSH-accredited qualification and receive a certificate acknowledging their course of study, which can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.
