Asbestos Awareness with Romanian Voice-overs

Asbestos is a dangerous and highly toxic material that can cause many fatal diseases. It poses a serious health threat to workers at risk of being exposed to asbestos materials.

Under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, employers must educate workers who are likely to work on or disturb asbestos materials about the health and safety risks of asbestos exposure.

This Asbestos Awareness ecourse teaches employees about the location, condition and correct safety practices when working with asbestos materials. The course is approved by the world’s largest health and safety organisation, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Once the course and assessment are completed, you will receive an IOSH accredited certificate.

Contractors who may disturb asbestos are responsible for obtaining this certification prior to undertaking their work duties.

The course will cover:

  • Properties of asbestos and its effects on health
  • Types, uses and likely locations of asbestos
  • Proper protocol to follow in an emergency
  • How to avoid the risks from asbestos

  • Employers will be legally compliant with the Control Asbestos Regulations 2012.
  • Workers will know how to identify asbestos and anticipate where it might be found.
  • Workers will be better equipped to know what precautions to take to avoid exposure.
