Under the Fire Safety Order 2005, employers are legally required to provide adequate fire safety training for their workers.

But it’s not just the law – it saves lives.

Last year, in England alone, firefighters attended to an estimated 300 fires in non-domestic buildings… a week. No kind of business or building is spared – hospitals, schools, retail stores, office buildings, industrial sites, hotels…

They all face fire as their most prominent safety risk. Without the training, you’ll have to face the law, but you’ll also be putting your workers in a dangerous position.

This Fire Safety Awareness course offers a half day of in-company training for employees to learn how to reduce fire risks, deal with fires (if appropriate) and escape safely if a fire occurs. This training is accredited by the Qualifications Network and upon completion, you will receive an approved Fire Awareness certification.

The training will cover these areas:

  • Liaison with the fire service
  • Action on discovering a fire
  • Fire safety legislation
  • The chemistry of fire
  • Common causes of fire
  • Fire safety precautions and prevention
  • Fire drills and evacuation
  • How to use fire extinguishers

  • Receive necessary and important training in the convenience of your workplace.
  • Direct and personal training by an experienced teacher will ensure that you retain all the information.
  • The in-company format allows us to tailor some of the discussions and topics to your specific business, making it more relevant to you.
  • This training will help you to comply with the Fire Safety Order and protect your employees from serious fire risk.
