Noise Awareness

Noise Awareness

Exposure to noise in the workplace can be detrimental to the health and safety of your employees. Specifically, dangerous noise levels can, and often do, cause debilitating ear conditions – even permanent hearing loss!

The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 requires employers to protect workers from the harmful effects of excessive noise at work.

This Noise Awareness ecourse will provide workers with an understanding of the risks posed by noise in their workplace and how they can implement measures to control them. This course is approved by the world’s largest health and safety organisation, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Once the course and assessment are completed, you will receive an IOSH accredited certificate.

This course will cover:

  • Specific risks employees face when exposed to high noise levels
  • Noise protection measures that will help you and your workers minimise noise exposure
  • Responsibilities of employer and employees under the relevant legislation

  • Employers will be compliant with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.
  • Employees will utilise the proper noise protection measures to safeguard their hearing from harmful noise exposure.
  • With noise levels at an appropriate minimum, the entire workforce will be able to work productively and comfortably.
