UKATA Asbestos Awareness (Cat. A)

Description

UKATA Asbestos Awareness (Cat. A)

Despite being banned from use for years, asbestos still poses a major health threat to workers who are likely to be exposed to it.

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (CAR) requires employers to provide appropriate training for all workers who are likely to be exposed to asbestos, or those who supervise work that might expose employees to asbestos.

This UKATA Asbestos Awareness course offers a half a day of training for workers of the construction and maintenance industries. It is approved by the UK Asbestos Training Association (UKATA), and fulfills the requirements set forth by the CAR 2012.

This training will teach employees about the different types, locations and risks associated with asbestos.

  • Asbestos types, properties and risks
