Working at Height

Working at Height

Falls from height are one of the most common causes of injury at work – often causing serious harm and even fatalities.

Due to the serious risk posed by work at height, the Work at Height Regulations 2005 requires employers to provide workers with the necessary information to be able to successfully deal with the risks and control measures of work at height.

This Working at Height ecourse will teach workers how to carry out work at height (at or below ground level) in a safe and responsible way. This course is approved by the world’s largest health and safety organisation, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). Once the course and assessment are completed, you will receive an IOSH accredited certificate.

Topics will include:

  • Carrying out a work at height risk assessment
  • Using access equipment safely
  • Ensuring that employees reduce their risk of falls from height

  • Employers will fulfil their legal obligation under the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
  • Employees working at height will have the proper training to do so in a competent and safe way.
  • Risks of injury associated with work at height will be controlled and minimised.
