We’re thrilled to announce that TEAM Safety Services has been named Winner of the Construction Initiative of the Year at the prestigious British Training Awards 2025!

By combining our free Resident Assessment Form and our free Resident Flat Fire Safety Guide, with our expertly developed assessor form and RPEEP services, this blended approach is cost-effective, respectful of residents’ privacy, and ensures no one is left behind when it comes to safe evacuation planning.

We are proud of this Commended award and recognition from The Institute of Fire Safety Managers, and we look forward to supporting even more Housing Providers through the new legislation in 2026.

IFSM Fire Safety Project of the Year 2025 Awards Finalist!

We are delighted to announce that TEAM Safety Services has been shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM) Awards 2025, under the category Fire Safety Project of the Year.

In May 2025, TEAM Safety Services launched a national initiative to improve resident safety and support housing providers preparing for upcoming legislation on Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs). The project delivers two free tools:

This project addresses a vital gap in current fire safety practice: putting people, not just policies, at the centre of fire safety. It empowers residents to understand and reduce their own risks while enabling housing providers to act early, inclusively, and at scale. The result is a forward-thinking, accessible solution that has already gained attention from housing associations, councils, and fire safety professionals across the UK.

The winners will be revealed in October, and we look forward to sharing the results with you after the ceremony!

We are proud to be a finalist for 'Onboarding Initiative of the Year' in the British Training Awards 2025 for recognition of our Learning Management System and Health and Safety Induction eLearning!

With over 360 entries, the awards have been judged by a panel of esteemed learning and development professionals from leading companies, including Bentley Motors, Booking.com, Bupa, Lloyds Banking Group and Lidl GB.

Guest Speaker and Sponsor at the Kent Housing Group Conference!

We are sponsoring the Kent Housing Group Conference, which will take place on Thursday 19th June at the Clive Emson Conference Centre, Kent Showground, Maidstone.  

This must-attend event for housing industry professionals will launch the updated Kent and Medway Housing Strategy for 2025-30, which addresses key issues such as housing delivery, improving living conditions, and fostering sustainable communities. BBC TV presenter Mark Easton will chair the event, and attendees will include developers, housing associations, policymakers, contractors, and industry specialists, all working together to drive progress.

Ellis Arnett, our Director of Fire Safety, has also been invited to be a Guest Speaker at the conference, where he will challenge conventional approaches to fire risk management, provide valuable insights and spark meaningful conversations on whether current fire risk assessment standards are truly fit for purpose, and advocate for stronger, practical strategies in bridging the gap between policy and people. Fire safety is not merely about compliance; it requires meaningful engagement with residents, proactive risk reduction, and a shift towards more comprehensive assessments that fully capture the realities of fire risk beyond the front door.

TEAM Safety Services is thrilled to become part of CITB's Employer Networks Grant Scheme, which helps to simplify and drastically reduce the cost of essential training for your employees.

Starting in October of this year, construction companies who pay into CITB's levy will be able to receive our training programmes at just 30% of the usual price. The remaining 70%? That’s covered by CITB!

CITB's Employer Network Grant Scheme is a game-changing initiative launched to provide targeted, high-quality training to construction companies across the UK. The programme simplifies the process of accessing funding and support by eliminating paperwork and directly addressing the needs of employers.

CITB tier 1 grant of £60pp for completing our Asbestos Awareness eLearning!

We are an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) and our CITB-Assured Asbestos Awareness eLearning course is eligible for the CITB tier 1 grant of £60 per person, per course!

TEAM Safety Services' Asbestos eLearning course has been approved by CITB for tier 1 of their grant scheme. The CITB short-duration grants are given upon the achievement of approved courses, with the goal of the grant to help improve core construction skills needed throughout the industry.

To apply for a CITB grant for short courses you need to be registered with CITB and meet their general Grant Scheme terms and conditions.

eLearning Voiceovers

 At TEAM Safety Services, we have introduced voice-overs to all of our eLearning courses to help increase learner comprehension and make the courses even more accessible. 

Voiceovers provide a dynamic and immersive learning experience, allowing learners to absorb information more effectively than just text-based content.

Our voiceovers not only guide learners through the content but also emphasise key points, ensuring that crucial safety information is conveyed with clarity. This auditory reinforcement complements visual elements, creating a holistic learning environment that caters to diverse learning styles. 

By incorporating voiceovers, we have made the courses more accessible to individuals with visual impairments, varying learning abilities and preferences.

Recognising diversity within the industry, we have taken a step further by introducing Romanian voiceovers on selected eLearning courses. Offering courses in English text accompanied by Romanian voiceovers exemplifies a commitment to breaking language barriers and enhancing the accessibility of crucial safety information. Language should never be a barrier to understanding critical safety procedures.
